Dan has 25 years of business operating experience as a Director and Sr. Director with Marriott International. During his finance career, Dan served 16 years on the Executive Committees of 4 hotels within the continental United States, the Caribbean island of Barbados and the Hawaiin Island of Kauai. His later 9 years were on the corporate level over-seeing $1.0B+ of the corporate receivables process for franchise hotels. Dan retired from Marriott after 25 years in 2009 and began his commercial real estate career.

Dan is the only commercial agent in Blount County that focus' his attention completely on commercial real estate only in Blount County.

Dan is very involved in his community with his involvement as a Board Member for the Downtown Maryville Association and the Boys & Girls Club. Dan also is a Maryville Kiwanis member, volunteers at the local Food Connection, drives for the SMiles Program, a Certified Tourism Ambassador, and is very involved with the Chamber of Commerce. Dan is personally invested in the community through his ownership of various commercial buildings. Dan was recently appointed in 2017 by the Mayor to the Maryville Regional Planning Commission.

In January 2014 Dan joined LeConte Realty as part owner and to develop and lead their Commercial Division.
